With almost 40 years of experience in the floral industry, Sharon McGukin (Mc-Goo-kin) AIFD, AAF, PFCI is known nationally for her floral expertise, southern charm and approachable manner when speaking to audiences. Having started her career as a small town florist, Sharon now enjoys sharing innovative flower tips, trends, and techniques across the US and Canada to both professional and consumer audiences. She is a member of the prestigious Smithers-OasisTeam of Design Directors and is Past-President of the
American Institute of Floral Designers (2010 - 2011).
Sharon has worked in Asia as a floral consultant in
the home décor industry, and often writes design and floral
trend articles for prominent floral industry publications, as well as
contributes to national news and magazine articles upon
request. Sharon is the author of the book Flowers of the Heart,
featuring wedding design and planning techniques.
